December 19, 2017

Over 700-units and $305 Million in cash later, Qdoba Mexican Grill has a new owner.

Qdoba's current owner, Jack in the Box, has decided that after exponentially growing the brand over 14 years, the time has come to sell the brand. Apollo Global Management, LLC has agreed to pay about $305 Million in cash for the Qdoba brand.

In the 14 years that they owned the chain, Jack in the Box grew Qdoba from 85 locations in 16 states with $16 million in system wide sales to over 700 units to over 700 units in 47 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada with system-wide sales of over $820

Million. That makes Qdoba the second largest fast-casual Mexican food brand in the US, sitting only behind Chipotle.
